Dordogne

Dordogne is a region known for its gastronomy (famous Sarladaises potatoes, foie gras, truffles, duck confit and magret) and for the numerous castles and historical towns that you can find here such as the old town of Sarlat-la-Canéda, the enchanting town of Beynac-et-Cazenac and its medieval castle overviewing 70m below the Dordogne River and the 13th century town of Monpazier. The area is also famous for the prehistoric cave of Lascaux.
